Based on the table of @AlbertVilella I created this graph of (minimum) sequencing cost vs (maximum) yield. Pretty strong correlation. Long read sequencing methods from @PacBio and @nanopore doing remarkably well #NGS #Bioinformatics.

@Vadym_Chibrikov Last week I reviewed paper with 'major revision' recommendations, but co-reviewer wanted to accept and linked some papers 'Authors could use in introduction section'. Did I mention all 3 papers had the same authors? 😶

Dear community, the samples we obtained from a deep cave revealed a bacterium with a weird phenotype... it produces a glowing compound that phosphoresce (in normal light). Any idea of what species this could be?

@BullCrys @LucigenCorp Ouch, strawberry fruit is difficult with DNA extraction, let alone RNA! 😱 happy you found the way to do it.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but I can strongly recommend @LucigenCorp MasterPure Complete DNA & RNA Purification Kit for hard-to-extract RNA plant materials. I’ve been trying for weeks on strawberry fruit 🍓 until this kit! #RNA
