Today I removed a student from class because of his choices. Instead of fussing at him, I allowed him to cry, tell me the real issue he was facing, and I listened. Sometimes children aren’t being defiant because they are bad. They deal with life too.

Please hug your loved ones tight tonight and tell the you love them. My heart is breaking after hearing of the passing of my best friend Ray Ray. He was a brother to me and always there for me even in my darkest times. He saw the best in everyone. Rest easy big dawg. I love you.
