@DrDimitrios No wonder physicians are one of the worst hit demographic in terms of Metabolic disorders/syndrome.

Medicine needs to stop glorifying 24-hour workdays and 80-hour work weeks. They compromise a physician’s health. Sleep-deprived physicians are also more prone to error which compromises patient care. Medicine needs to evolve by letting go of outdated rites of passage.

Let's settle this. Radiographers vs Radiologists. Basic Degree Radiography degree–B.Sc in Radiography (usually 4–5 years in Nigeria) Radiologist → MBBS+ residency in Radiology (usually 10-11 years). Radiologist is a medical doctor Radiographer is an allied health professional. Scope: Radiographer- Technical + imaging-focused knowledge Radiologist- medical, clinical, diagnostic expertise. Primary Job Role Radiographer- Produces images using (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound Mammography, Fluoroscopy etc.) Radiologist- Interprets the images and makes diagnosis. In simple terms, The Radiographer acquires the Image The Radiologist interpretes the  Image. Clinical Responsibilities Radiographer: Positions patients Operates machines Ensures radiation safety( according to ALARA) Most important role. (please I'm just giving a summary, because to position patients na wahala 🤧). Radiologist Read/report results Guide treatment decisions Authority in Patient Care Radiographer → Cannot prescribe drugs or independently manage patients Radiologist → Can diagnose, prescribe, and treat patients 7. 🧾 Licensing & Regulation (Nigeria) Radiographer → Licensed by Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) Radiologist → Licensed by Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) These two professions work hand-in-hand in the imaging department for proper diagnosis of patients ailments. None is doing the work of the other, each knows it's own scope, ethics and boundaries (I believe). I know movies and lack of awareness makes it look like it's Drs that run CT, MRI and co, but it's not true, it's Radiographers, please. And it's not diminishing the work of others, it's enlightenment. I'm sick and tired of the squabbles over these profession, worst part is that the individuals that parrot that radiologists can do Radiographers work are not radiologists. Lets be guided please.
