In the 1990s, after the fall of the USSR and the reunification of Germany, articles appeared in journals like Foreign Affairs suggesting Germany would revert to its "Ostpolitik," expand first financially and then maybe even territorially into its former provinces. Like it might try to take back East Prussia. Obviously the opposite happened, and Germany slowly neutered itself, probably at the behest of the American foreign policy establishment. But it would be interesting to revisit the articles from the early 90s, reexamine their arguments, and look at the archives about why it turned out so differently. There are probably some PhD dissertations there.

We started a Korean dating show called Better Late Than Single, and I’m obsessed. I can’t stop yelling at the TV. There was a scene where they sent 6 people on a roller skating group date, and one of the girls needed help balancing, so the other 2 girls jumped to her aid, while the 3 guys kept skating individually. Just zero game. Incredible.
