Most mage fights are just shooting different color lasers at each other and relying on dialog to tell the audience when someone is almost out of mana. Here, mages create weapons to fight with, sometimes try to get close to each other for attacks, sometimes try to create distance and use the terrain for cover, mess with each other's minds and perception. It's dynamic and engaging. Yesterday's Frieren fights are my favorite mage fights of all shows I've ever seen. And Stark is a fucking badass too. @TheJoshMan07 @PlushSonicReal Action Master (I think it’s called that) is genuinely amazing, I only wish it lasted longer. It literally tests every skill you have as modern sonic and I wish they did that more in main levels

People really sleep on the extra missions in Generations. There’s a ton of them pretty much all of them are great. I don’t think people appreciate the consistency of level design present throughout the whole game.

@wintersre9uiem I wish. Matilda has always felt like Leon’s Iconic gun to me even though he only has it by default in RE2. Maybe it’s just the name idk

Giving her the Matilda in this concept art is insane to me. Like does that mean there was a build of the game where this version of the Matilda was his actual main sidearm??

@YuikaiChan This is a tricky one because it's not just physical strength needed to defeat the necromorphs it's psychological too. The trauma Leon has dealt with or any guilt he has can be turned against him.

This might be a hot take, but I think the care center might genuinely be one of if not the best survival horror location possibly ever. It’s on the same level of Spencer Mansion, and Brookhaven Hospital imo

@fableplayss 9 is the only resident evil game to actually scare me.

@bellbearinghunt I think dead space 3 is Overhated but it is definitely the worst of the trilogy. The weapon crafting is pretty cool and co op is a blast. but the story is kinda all over the place and that’s coming from someone who likes the story. so do with that as you like.

btw are dead space 2 and 3 good too? They're really cheap I'm hesitating to buy them too

@sisterlelianas I don’t care how short the section is. It’s not fun, nor is it scary. It’s a total killer for replays.

“the orphanage isn’t as bad as people say” is true but this sequence comes right after you ride your bike up a giant building and 360 no scope 50 dogs while doing a backflip on gideon’s head. it’s the tonal shift and the boring, scripted pauses that take you out of the experience

Resident evil bobba fett is proof that if you give a guy an awesome armor and a few cold lines he will become a beloved character even when he really didnt do much in his debut

@Da76tg @blacknredtext It’s way overblown how much was removed. The biggest removals are the Clocktower and Park, and the ending factory was replaced by a lab.
