Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2 is an iconic Mexican symphonic work famously transcribed for wind band by Oliver Nickel. Inspired by Cuban-Mexican dance styles, the piece blends sultry clarinet solos with intense, rhythmic, and percussion-heavy ensemble sections. Hear it on 4/18!
