You are surprised because you never knew you were being evicted, you tell the your name and they check the paperwork and embarrassingly admit they are at the wrong house and it was your neighbor being evicted instead. They apologize like it’s no big deal and say they will fix your lock. Would that be acceptable or would compensation for your inconvenience be in order?
