A super engaging and fun story with high stakes. 🧛 Hybrid Helix always feels like a good time instead of a chore. I'm not sure how JCM Berne manages to make something that makes me so consistently happy to be honest.

@JoeBerne1 I completely agree. I am not a writer of novels, but I cannot imagine how any author would not be influenced by what they have read!

@DaRoopIsOnFiyah I am not opposed to obvious influences (there are PLENTY in my books if you know where to look) as long as they're handled well! So far so good.

OKay I'm like 1/5 through Suneater book 1 and the story and characters are pretty generic and predictable, the tech and basic worldbuilding is directly ripped off from Dune, but man is Ruocchio good at description. Just perfection.
