@captive_dreamer Never let a Russian boast of its WW2 dead when around 40% of Soviet casualties were Ukrainian.

@LeeRespecter "half of Australian doctors" and it's only doctors who registered last financial year. The success of this propaganda is predicated on viewers flat out ignoring the words on the screen.

Increasingly seeing videos like this where the script is clearly just AI. Zero authentic voice or perspective. It’s also just fake nonsense. Why would a net education exporter be so constantly deprived of skills? And how is it that, when we closed our borders and largely only let citizens and permanent residents return, our health system held up far better than many other OECD countries? The issue is we have got our economy hooked on immigration like a drug. We are told the only way to avoid the comedown is more of the drug, but it just keeps getting worse. We need to sober up.

@RestoreAussies @SirJBritain You could contemplate all this, or simply look up how many captured at Singapore joined the IJA. It would save some time.

Indian participation in the world wars is always used as a tool by the left to justify unlimited mass migration. Just some interesting facts: The world wars are old conflicts, now over 80 - 110 years ago, Indian independence from Britain has been in place for 79 years. We understand that India served the British empire and fought for Imperial Britain and their own interests. Fantastic, but this is irrelevant to modern migration. They also had a population of 300,000,000 and 877,000 signed up to fight in WW1 (less than 0.3% of their population). This was the lowest per capita sign up rate in the entire empire. As a comparison, the Australians too fought for the British empire and for their own interests, and in WW1 416,000 men enlisted to fight (approximately 8.5% of our 4.9 million population of Australia at the time). When the British ran India under the empire, only 150-200k Brits ever resided there. (Indian population was 300 million) Now there are 2,100,000 Indians living in the UK, over ten times the number of Brits who resided in the British raj.

@hw97karbine Could I have the source on this? Given the slouch hats and the fact they're wearing Australian khaki drill trousers (one pocket rear right, one map pocket front left), I suspect they're RAAF Aerodrome Defence Guards.

New report predicts that coming political fight could be between 'Australia Firsters' representing 60% of the population, vs 'Open Australians' who 'do not have a strong sense of belonging to Australia', representing 40%.

@Emilie_Dye "with 1850s tech and infrastructure" Health care predating the X-ray machine, rudimentary schooling with slate boards, no legal requirements for indoor plumbing, no asphalt roads, no electricity. You could do 10-11% when people lived that way. You can go too.

While studying for the citizenship test, I learned about Australia's various immigration waves. From 1851-1861, we doubled the pop. with annual growth rates of 10-11%. In today's terms that'd be the equivalent of ~3M people. And that was with 1850s tech and infrastructure. 1/

@HistorylandHQ It's no longer in the bubble. The QLD museum spent years restoring it after it had sat just outside the museum for decades. You could climb inside it when I was a child.
