The Traveler is, IMO, the least interesting character in every AQ. Even the Traveler's sibling is more interesting; at least they have a tangible backstory with Khaenri'ah. The Traveler's backstory is just "I did some mining off-camera".

I suppose he possesses certain unique abilities that could be considered otherworldly, like cleansing abyssal corruption or changing fate, but without any clues as to where these skills originate, it feels like the actual explanation is "he's the protagonist, he can do whatever"

Why are we pretending we can't look for both? If I got into a car crash and woke up with neither the car nor my partner in sight, the process of looking for my partner would include looking for the car: it's larger so easier to spot, and my partner is probably nearby...

@AshleyMS43 @heyyitsjanea But the nervous system is also a very safe way for a virus to travel, which is what makes rabies so dangerous. The immune system is very reckless and the nervous system is very delicate, so your immune cells mostly aren't allowed to fuck around near your nerve cells.

@AshleyMS43 @heyyitsjanea Rabies kills by infecting the brain, and to reach the brain it travels through the nervous system. But the nervous system is a very inefficient way for a virus to travel, so its super slow. Depending on where the infection started, rabies can take many months to reach the brain
