We went into the community of beggars to visit the blind women and shared ₦5,000 each with 30 women for lunch.
A small gesture but one that reminded them they are seen, valued and not

You know, two weeks ago in Onitsha, I sat down at this rather unremarkable roadside buka. The kind of place where the flies outnumber the customers
Sweat drenched, smoke curling from the firewood, a young man named Chuka served me what I can only describe as a culinary abomination disguised as semo.
Against my better judgment and perhaps in a moment of uncharacteristic humility, I swallowed it. All of it. Every last sticky, lump.
And I survived. Barely. Which is a lot more than I can say for you.
You see, that semo taught me something that even the most repulsive thing can slide down smoothly if you calm your mind. Which brings me to you. A man who’s been reckless, loud, stupidly brave. A man who thought he was untouchable. But unlike that bowl of semo… you’re not hard to finish
