Hahaha I’m not holding anything hostage dude, the original post quoted the 3.3 lines and said “but i thought characters disappear after one patch?” I said “acting like what we’re getting now was always the norm is disingenuous” which it is, and then said I’m happy about what we’re getting now and think it’s really good and great for the game. Where are you getting hostage holding from?

@DaaBiggcheese @my_Shorekeeper Yeah sure, but you are literally holding something WuWa is not doing anymore hostage as if we should judge the previous version rather than the current state of the game. 2.7 is half a year ago, since then, hasn’t previous characters scatter across the storyboard appropriately?

Narrative sense isn’t the topic, something can make narrative sense but doesn’t mean that it’s good, obviously when I say good I mean subjectively cause this is art we’re talking about. My original criticism is that the banner characters don’t feel like part of the story once their banner is over, whether they’re off doing whatever narratively doesn’t matter, I mean it does in terms of the narrative, but not in terms of the criticism, in this new version everyone being consistent in consecutive patches feels much better, narrative supporting that is great, but it doesn’t change that older banner characters once their banner was done they were pretty mia for better or worse until the big moment patches. Im enjoying everyone having more involvement in the banner character patches it’s been fun seeing moments like fighting along side chisa randomly in sigrikas quest. And I agree with you Lupa was probably one of the bigger if not biggest offenders of this.

@DaaBiggcheese @my_Shorekeeper Honestly the only time I had real complains was Lupa not getting included in the 2.6 Hunt. Beyond that, I find other characters’ amount of involvement in stories made narrative sense.

I have played the mansion event and completed it, doesn’t change the fact that they could have still had more interconnectivity with banner characters persisting through the story in past versions. This is obviously something they agreed with cause of how prevalent everyone is in 3.0, you’re assuming just cause I have a mild criticism of the game that I don’t play it. Trust me I play it tons and support the fuck out of it. Like I said I love that all of the banner characters this patch have been consistent in consecutive patches not just a “avengers assemble” one occasionally.

I’m not talking about one character being present I’m talking about them all being present in consecutive patches. Carty was the through line yes in 2.x but in 3.0 we’ve actually been getting characters popping up again and again, which like I said is a good thing and it’s not just let’s say Amy being consistent, I want all the banner characters to be consistent through each patch so this that we’re seeing now is good.
