Arsenal’s next summer transfer window should be titled ‘Project Raising the Technical Level’ with full focused on one clear objective: raising Arsenal’s technical level, especially in midfield and attack.
There’s an obvious technical void in midfield, particularly in on-ball quality since losing players like Partey, Xhaka, Jorginho, and Zinchenko. Zubimendi was brought in to replace that composure and press resistance, but right now he looks less secure under pressure than Rice.
Arteta needs to prioritise technical security, press resistance, and progressive passing, not just work rate and physicality. That means avoiding workhorses and road runners like Tonali and Gordon, and focusing on elite on ball technicians.
Midfield Targets (DM/CM)
•Wharton
•Lamine Camara
•Elliot Anderson
•Mateus Fernandes
•Locatelli
Every midfielder listed above is technically secure, press-resistant, and capable of progressing play consistently. Anderson is the most industrious of the group, but even he is technically strong and comfortable under pressure.
Left Wing Targets
•Kvaratskhelia
•Yildiz
•Diomande
•Ndiaye
Each of these wingers offers high-level technical ability, strong in 1v1s, capable of retaining possession under pressure, and able to consistently create danger in tight spaces. That’s the profile Arsenal need on the left.

Until you people do this for Simi like you did for Akpi, you aren't fooling anyone but yourselves.
