Inspired by the South-East Mathematics Olympiad and @winexviv I went to tutor some good students today somewhere in Nigeria 🇳🇬. Mathematics could be the way out. Together, we can make it happen. Teaching is fun 😁 Amarachukwu

Without culture, there is no identity. Without identity, there is no legacy. Proud to present my first of many films in Igbo, written and produced by me. IJU ESE is coming to YouTube on Good Friday, 3 April 2026.

Our current education system is not designed for global competitiveness, rather for exams. From primary school to university, Nigerian students spend years mastering how to pass Common entrance, BECE, WAEC, JAMB, Post-UTME, Semester exams etc. But the world outside Nigeria is not asking: “Can you pass an exam?” The world is asking: • Can you build things? • Can you solve complex problems? • Can you innovate? • Can you compete globally? Look at the countries dominating the modern economy: Germany – engineering and manufacturing South Korea – electronics and industrial technology China – global manufacturing powerhouse United States – innovation and research Their education systems are deeply connected to industry, skills, and innovation. Nigeria’s system is connected to syllabus completion and exam performance. That’s why we produce millions of graduates every year that struggle to find a job. Why are we educating young Nigerians for the world that actually does not exist? Until we redesign our education system around problem-solving, technical mastery, and industry relevance, we will keep producing certificates instead of competitiveness.

Troubling Developments in Our Polity that Must Be Nipped in the Bud. I have just been made aware early this morning that Revered religious leader, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Umar has been arrested by authorities shortly after hosting me in Kaduna on Sunday. This development underscores the deeply troubling state of our nation and our democracy, where freedom of speech and movement is increasingly threatened, and where citizens and perceived political opponents face harassment and unnecessary persecution. This cannot be allowed to continue. This country must defend freedom and free speech, which are the hallmarks of every democratic society. Suppression and intimidation of dissent can never stand in a democratic society, and this Nigerian government must understand this fact. I respectfully call on all those bent on undermining our already fragile democracy to please stop and apply the rule of law and tenets of democracy in dealing with citizens. -PO

This is @sowore in his alma mater! Yeah, one of the schools he attended is still in this state but it will never look like a Jurassic Park to him, neither will he protest for the development.

Another Igbo movie called the "daybreak in Udi" was shot in 1949 & was nominated for an Oscar Award. Yorubas claim to be pioneers of nollywood, but you'll never see a yoruba movie shoot in the 1930s/40s. You can search but you'll never find. Nollywood exists because of Ndi Igbo
