Yesterday, I joined Minister of Education Jeremy Cockrill, Teine Energy President and CEO Jason Denney and many others at the Oil and Gas Show to announce a new agreement between the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre and Teine Energy to develop new Oil & Gas high school courses for Saskatchewan students. Through this new partnership, students will learn about the importance of the Oil & Gas industry and will gain knowledge about career opportunities available in Saskatchewan's thriving energy industry. These new courses will include work placement opportunities for students and will foster the development of a skilled workforce for our province.

ICYMI: The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation rejected an offer to take negotiations to arbitration, declaring an impasse in negotiations and promising to resume work-to-rule sanctions.

@SaskTeachersFed You shot yourself in the foot when you recommended the last offer to your members. Binding arbitration is the appropriate route to go but you know the arbitrator will never include CC or CS in the agreement because you took a tentative agreement to your members without either.
