Presidential media aide tweeting for INEC 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Daddy D.O🇳🇬@DOlusegun

PRESS STATEMENT INEC CHAIRMAN HAS NO ACCOUNT ON X, DISREGARD PARTISAN FABRICATIONS The attention of the Office of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been drawn to a malicious and coordinated campaign of calumny circulating on social media. The false claim alleges that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, has, in the past, endorsed a partisan post on the platform X (formerly Twitter). The Commission wishes to state categorically that this allegation is entirely baseless, a total fabrication, and a figment of the imagination of its purveyors. For the avoidance of doubt, the INEC Chairman does not own or operate any personal account on X. He has at no time engaged in partisan commentary, nor has he ever associated himself with any political leaning or activity in his private or public capacity. This contrived X post is a desperate attempt to impugn the integrity and neutrality of the Chairman at a critical period when the Commission is focused on significant electoral reforms and preparations for upcoming polls. It is a needless distraction designed to stir public distrust in the electoral umpire. Beyond this partisan mischief, the Commission is aware that cybercriminals have been on the prowl, utilising fake social media accounts in the Chairman’s name to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians. We wish to place it on record that several of such fraudulent accounts had been identified and reported to security agencies in the past. This latest fabrication is merely a continuation of a criminal pattern aimed at exploiting the Commission’s profile for illicit gains. The Commission will not fold its arms while the character of its leadership is being assassinated by digital imposters and mischief-makers. We wish to notify the public that we are working in close collaboration with relevant security agencies and cyber-intelligence units to track and identify the individuals or groups behind this identity theft and misinformation. Let it be clearly understood that the Commission will ensure that these imposters face the full wrath of the law. Identity theft and the dissemination of deepfake or forged social media interactions are criminal offenses under the Cybercrimes Act. Those responsible for this mischief will be tracked and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others who believe the digital space is a safe haven for criminality. The general public is hereby urged to disregard this falsehood in its entirety. We will continue to disseminate official information regarding the Commission and the Chairman’s activities only through our verified institutional channels and formal press statements. The Commission remains undeterred and fully committed to its mandate of delivering free, fair, and credible elections for all Nigerians. E-Signed: Adedayo Oketola Chief Press Secretary/Media Adviser to the INEC Chairman Abuja, Nigeria. 10th April, 2026

IGBEGA OYO OMITUTUN 3.0! Today’s consultation and engagement with PDP Youth leaders across all 33 Local Government Areas and 351 Ward Leaders was both humbling and deeply encouraging. I am particularly grateful for their affirmation that I am the first aspirant to formally consult and engage with them on this journey. That recognition means a lot, because I firmly believe that young people must not only be heard, but deliberately carried along from the very beginning. Your endorsement grounded in the belief that at 39, I represent the energy, understanding, and urgency of the youth constituency is not something I take lightly. Your pledge to mobilize across the 33 LGs speaks to a shared vision we must now collectively nurture and sustain. I also wish to sincerely appreciate the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hajia Wasilat Adegoke, the Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Agency, Prince Falana Adebowale, and the PDP Youth Leader in Oyo State, Hon. Kazeem Olamilekan Bello and other stakeholders for their leadership, presence, and invaluable contributions to the success of this engagement. This is only the beginning. Together, we will continue to build a movement that is inclusive, forward-looking, and firmly rooted in the aspirations of our young people. The future is ours to shape, and we will shape it together.

Good governance begins at the very foundation of society, the family. Peter Obi reflects that order: a man who has been faithfully married for over 30 years with no scandals and no estranged children. In that quiet moment, his smile says more than words; Discipline, devotion, consistency, and respect. Because how a man leads his home often mirrors how he leads a people. A man who can stay grounded at home is more likely to stay grounded in leadership.

A Call to Reflect: The Death of Brigadier-General O. Braimah The moment I heard of the killing of yet another soldier, Brigadier-General O. Braimah, who was killed alongside other army personnel in a Boko Haram attack at Benisheikh, I was quickly reminded of what other countries commit to when it comes to rescuing their endangered soldiers on the battlefield. Such unfortunate incidents serve as a clarion call for all of us to reflect more deeply on the value we place on the lives of all citizens, including those who stand in defence of our nation, and on the urgent need to strengthen our collective resolve in safeguarding them. May God grant his dear wife, the families of all the fallen soldiers, and indeed all those who lost their lives in the incident, the fortitude to bear this painful loss. May their souls rest in peace, in honour of their supreme sacrifice for the nation. -PO

Seyi has not peaked in my opinion. In fact he’s one of the best 2nd term governors this country has ever seen. He will peak when the circular road corridor starts bringing dividends, that’s his legacy to campaign for 2039, reason I want reasonable successors from him.
FTS@Tobiloba_

Seyi peaked too early, per naija standards, it's why silly stupid questions/rhetoric keep resurfacing. That 1 working PHC per ward initiative alone is enough to swallow whatever the fcuk Dapson is doing in his second term but hey, I remember that G5 nonsense, fcuk him too.

Give Dapo Abiodun 4 more years, and he still can’t chat to Seyi Makinde You see, Nigeria is a poor country. And for anyone to describe any government as successful, it has to be the one that fixes areas that directly affect the “common man” i.e. good roads, decent public infrastructure, education, agriculture. Seyi has done modestly here. He however fails in healthcare. 1/10 Flip the coin to Dapo and see. The man focuses on projects that will make the news, without necessarily translating. You drive from Ibadan to Abeokuta, and how you know you’re in Abk are the portholes and change in road quality. Look at the education metrics of Ogun state, and you shake your head in disbelief. With the purchasing power of the average Ogun state resident, that airport will turn out to be a museum. Dapo has failed on the fundamentals. We can go pound for pound all day, but I assure you, Dapo Abiodun is not the person you want to do this for lol
Habdulakeem Bhadmus@Mrbhadoosky

I will not be drawn into the APC vs PDP online fight. My focus is simple. Two states, Ogun State and Oyo State, led by Dapo Abiodun and Seyi Makinde since 2019. One faced heavy criticism from day one but stayed focused, and you can point to visible projects consistently. The other enjoyed strong online praise, yet the tangible outcomes don’t match the noise. With about a year left in their terms, the contrast is clear, almost night and day. You can continue singing overbloated praises here. Posterity will judge us all.

of those that have shown interest in succeeding the man, he’s shown us what is possible we can only ask for either same or improvement anything less is a bad bargain. Some politicians will find it hard to sell themselves to Ọyọ State people this is no longer Ọyọ state of 2019

Ṣeyi Makinde has shown Ọyọ people what government is meant to be over the course of his 7 years as governor. Imperfect and flawed but also effective, responsive and visionary with zero oppressive tendency. It’s no surprise that we are currently very stringent in our scrutiny

If you put a white cloth on the floor , and you asked these moronic low level pro govt folks here if it’s white or black , if you add a caveat that if they admit it’s white it’s going to make Mr Tinubu look bad , they will insist it’s black and make sure they attack you while saying a white cloth is black . They are completely deranged !

Yesterday, I spoke with our people on Ore Ara'lu programme on Success FM, where I made one thing very clear: One of our firm commitments is this— Within the first year in office, every Local Government Area in Oyo State will have at least one product exported to the world. Not just produced—exported. Each LGA will be known for something it creates, processes, and proudly sends beyond our borders. Original products of Oyo State, reaching global markets. This is one way we create jobs, build wealth, and give our people a real stake in the global economy. Oyo State will not just produce—we will compete.
