The daughter of one of the patients on my floor left me a bday card today. She calls every eve to check on her mom, & i always take time to chat so she feels more at ease about her mom being here. I hope i give her the same amount of comfort her small gesture gave me. 🥹

I will make this as brief as possible but I was just informed that my mother has stage 4 stomach cancer. The reason why I am informing you of this is because some of my friends have been wondering why I have been so distant.
