@Joaxe001 @_reading_club while I do not know abt the cultural aspect in terms of warfare it was certainly less intense than Europe or China in fact in terms of military texts I can think of none that rivals western or eastern works of strategy aside from Arthasastra which is an anomaly given indias size

@_reading_club I used to think of India as an "ancient civilization." Often, the more I learn about India, the more I thing it fake. The Indian subcontinent did not know that writing appeared until the 300 BCE, and even then, it was a derivative of writing systems introduced from other places.

I find it hard to believe that ancient India can be called a "civilization," as it seems to lack many essential elements of civilization which isn't just about how people behave, but rather the concepts they possess.
