@JasonSynaptic 100% agree. We need to find new (better) ways to communicate to the public. Meeting them where they are at, oftentimes at a local community level can be best for combatting a lot of “anti-science” sentiment and misinformation.

Got cornered during some networking today by someone who wanted to tell me a story about a cop he met who was from Oregon. He then proceeded to tell me about how all of the political unrest in Oregon is so outrageous and insinuated that I must be pretty ashamed of my state.

So far, allergic reactions to the COVID vaccine (<1 in 100K) are significantly rarer than allergic responses to penicillin (1 in 2000). It's important to understand the cause of vaccine rxns, but let's also keep the numbers in mind.
