Know how they feel about their family of origin is like so you can predict what his/her own family would look like in the future. i If they like the dysfunction in their own family, they would recreate it in theirs… Know what their ideal future is like… do they like the idea of having a family abroad? would they lose respect for you if you’re earning like them? Must they be 5 steps ahead or behind before you can love them!? Know if they like the idea of having a successful spouse and won’t be jealous nor stifle their growth… Know if they have family values or if money is all and everything that matters to them… check if the presence or lack of money makes them erratic. Know if they can do anything to make money or get ahead… if they are criminals who wouldn’t mind using their kids for rituals you’ll be able to tell… Also know if they can work as a cleaner in the interim to bring something to the table while gaining skills and job hunting or if certain jobs are beneath them and they’d instead die than do those jobs… Ask questions about their health and check for compatibility… Genotype, PCOS, low sperm count, bad lungs because of cana etc, do a proper test and find out… Check if their ego is more important to them than peace… if he would never say sorry because “men do not apologise” Know if they are unteachable… some people never want to be wrong. Lol Know if they can disagree with you and love you while at it… does disagreeing with you result to prolonged fights and silent treatment? Cohabit with them for months and see them for who they really are. You’ll be able to factcheck all their claims if you’re perceptive… A dissolved relationship is always better than a dissolved marriage. Do everything possible to ensure you don’t miss it in marriage. That’s the reason you must properly date/know whoever you want to commit to for the rest of life, before you make it official… You cannot love a person you do not know! I can remember the time POOJA was being roastèd on twitter cos of his affiliation with APC, the next day was his birthday, I tried reading about 200 wishes and to my surprise, none was a cursè, all good wishes.
