My Review on Fidson Pharmaceuticals, Q1 2026. This is now a popular company in Nigeria and also on the NGX, they do not need much introduction, but they sure need a solid review. First of all, there are five companies on the NGX in the industrial arm of Pharmacy, I have written a review on two Mecure and May &Baker; Fidson is a 3rd, while you have Neimeth and Morrison. I would not be writing any reviews on the last 2. You would remember that the pioneer of Fidson, Mr Fidelis Ayebae retired last year, and a new MD/CEO was appointed, the person of Abiola Adebayo, you see Abiola Adebayo has been with fidson since 1996, but that is a story for another day. In 2024, Fidson made a total revenue of 84.1B, for some context, no other company in the pharmacy sector has achieved this revenue till date. Mecure for example did 77.69B in 2025. May and Baker highest revenue ever was 38.26B in 2025. In 2025, Fidson made a total revenue of 119B another tremendous increase. But little by little you should be putting the pieces together. For Q1 2026, Fidson has made 42.6B in revenue. Just for context sake, M&B revenue in Q1 was 8.4B, Mecure’s revenue in Q1 was 20.1B, Neimeth’s revenue in Q1 was 1.7B. All 3 combined does not touch Fidson’s revenue. Fidson’s cost of sales slightly increased, from 22.4B in Q1 2025, to 24.9B in Q1 2026. In the pharmacy sector, selling and distribution is a crucial aspect that when done aggressively gives you market capture, but it comes at a cost. Fidson has tripled their promotion and advertisement, they have almost doubled their logistic expenses, and they have more than doubled their sales expenses. This form of aggressive move, when done right gives you a market share other can only covet. In the pharmacy sector, once contact has been established, trust has been built and quality can be delivered, it’s game over, and this is exactly what fidson is currently doing. Fidson’s profit after Tax for Q1 has increased to 4.5B from 3.2B in Q1 2025. But the more interesting thing is that Fidson’s total profit for the year in 2024 was 4.3B, which has now been achieved in 3 months into 2026. Fidson’s total profit for the year in 2025 was 9.8B, they have just achieved 45.9% of that 3 months into 2026. Fidson is expanding, they have grown their Plant, Property and Equipment by over 4B since December last year. They have bought more vehicles worth over 1.3B, they have spent 1.9B in construction work in progress. They have grown their construction work in progress with over 4.5B since January 2025, this is a company that is not relaxed, they are progressive and aggressive. 17.2B has gone into loan repayments in 3 months, you would remember that they raised capital via right issue of about 21B last year. They have about 18.2B to pay to FCMB in 2026 but this is not a cause for concern at all. Because when you look at their long term loans, it’s just 3.7B which is not due this year. Fidson now exports 1.8B worth of goods in Q1 as opposed to 146.4m they did in Q1 2025. For context, the whole of 2025, their export value was 523.1m, now they are doing 1.8B in 3 months, the movement to capture west African market has commenced fully. What are my forecasts for 2026? Fidson could achieve as high as 180B in revenue, I’ll raise a more bullish call of 200B, because if I was on their board that would be my target. Their profit after tax could also increase to as high as 17B or upto 20B which would be over 100% of 2025. So, while they are all classified in the same sector with M&B, Mecure, Morrison, and Neimeth; Fidson is in a world of their own, and are just starting.
