@PeterThurlow @prformativcontr @GavinJKelly1 @CallMeMoNow I think that'd make for a very interesting lecture @PeterThurlow, have you any articles or lectures you've given doing just that?
English

@prformativcontr @GavinJKelly1 @CallMeMoNow I've spent 35 years advising clients on this stuff, up to a president, PM and several ambassadors. I could have used the government's response as a case study in how not to do it. Every time and at every level. They must have people advising them, so I assume they don't listen.
English

@RussInCheshire @TheDreadGazebo That is a high number indeed.
In the spirit of questioning numbers, while holding no value judgement to the person reporting them etc, where are they from? How was the data collected? What time frame? How were they verified?
English

@HMRCcustomers Ah fair enough thank you.
Yes I'll transfer my message over there.
How is the security different on here and on there?
Cheers
Tom

@DadofEllieDosh Hi Tom. Sorry we don’t use DM for security reasons. You can private message us on Facebook: facebook.com/HMRC if you prefer or I can answer general queries here. James

@technoskald Social media can be such an uplifting place but at times so draining.
I hope you found the rest you needed, your family is okay and oh how true that is about hugging them close is 😔.
English

@technoskald @NateTreme I'm not sure I'd agree I did, again the difficulty of communication on this platform, still thanks for the tweet, hope you are having a good day.

English

@NateTreme Oh, okie dokie. That's the drawback of text only communication, so difficult to make sure your meaning is clearly understood as that's how it suggested itself to me.
English

@NateTreme Isn't that a vast over simplification of a nuanced topic?
Seems to suggest that “a lot" of "white dude" are unable to learn about, research or empathise w/anyone else even vaguely different to themselves.
Personally I find dickheaderary crosses all demographics & need patience.
English

@JulieHWaltersOT My friend and I went for a long walk last night... and ended up in the pub. Certainly helped our moods lol.
English

Even a walk in the park improves my mood. I could go now.. OH! Just looked out of the window and realise its dark!

We had a great session about physical activities today with @AbiHend. Yesterday's poll showed 63% of you prioritised mental/emotional health. Did you know 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week has been shown to reduce rates of depression by 48% & cognitive decline by 40%

@margaretOT360 A therapeutic relationship is still a relationship.
There are a fair few of my patients I still think of but who have passed away 😢.
English

Managing and exploring emotions when a clients dies is a crucial component of practice #occupationaltherapy #supervision we are human and may need to grieve ourselves and reflect on the impact it has on us.

Hello @BlacksHelpTeam,
Is there a way I could get a new ferrule l for my tripod stool please?
I think this was a hand me down from a relative but the ferrule has gone the way of the odd socks etc.
Thank you
Tom

English

@TimLeachWriter Ah sad times.
Well if you fancy joining a group of international ransoms via Discord then let me know.
We're finishing Honey Heist next week then after that will play another random one shot.
Only really playing simple pick up and go systems more for the silliness than anything.

Mostly based on the kind of NPCs I like to play...
- There's always a coven of hags
- There's always a snarky cowardly evil wizard
- There's always an obstructive nobleman

@Its_Otema @Thaumatology @BGBrainKatie Okie dokie cool thank u for the clarification, the OP I'm assuming agrees as she's ❤️ed the responses .
I agree with ur descriptions of the societal represention of gender indeed.
Do u feel that the discussion around how gender is represented is being muddled w/the # of sexes?
English

@TimLeachWriter What game have you been playing recently?
I'm part of 3 Call of Cthulhu games, and am running a quick game of Honey Heist. Good fun all indeed!
English

Hello @TimLeachWriter,
I remember your Last King of Lydia book & it's sequel.
I'm sure I recall talking to you, well gushing praise more accurately, via a mutual friend. Unfortunately not had a chance to pick them up for a while but I see them every so often & smile.
📕🤓👍
English

@BGBrainKatie Asking in good faith but what brings you to that conclusion?
Also what do you mean by gender, verse sex for example?
Thank you in advance.

@garius A brilliant lecture. The talk very much put a name to an idea/phenomenon I perceived but was not able to fully conceptualise.
I work in a very different setting to yourself, patient facing health care, do you have any suggestions to focus further reading/self assessment? TY

One of the things I do for a living is design governance models. I'm very good at it. People pay me lots of money to do it.
What truly annoys me about this government is how many utterly basic errors they've made on lockdown rules, as they're terrified of responsibility. /1
