There’s borderline apocalyptic weather events going on around the planet right now following an unprecedented jump in global warmth the past year but everything’s fine the Nation-State and Capitalism will lead us out. All we need to do is VOTE and CONSUME. Do NOT Google Bookchin.

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Many of whom would be considered the same “race” by your definition. Your position is straight up nonsensical when looked at with bias removed and only the science is observed.

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Black people have no common ancestor that wouldn't also be the common ancestor of all other people. So it is simply impossible for all black people to descend from another hominid species that European and Asian wouldn't also descend from….

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART race is affected by the levels of different non human admixture from groups eg neanderthals or denisovans. ethnicity is variation within a race eg the french and english are different ethnic groups but are both white

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART not really i mean all the differences in human populations are there (iq, muscle mass, body odour, skull/face shape, the list goes on) the clear reality of race doesnt go away that easily

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART It’s also where humans originated and genetic diversity differentiated for hundreds of thousands of years. Again, the genetic bottleneck created by ancestors of non Africans that migrated out created a much smaller gene pool. It’s really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART well africa is quite geographically isolated as its surrounded by sea on most sides and has the sahara in the north. not like europe and asia which are easily connected by land.

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART its biological because its also not just based on the distances themselves, but how clusters are formed. even if africans have a high level of variation they are still majorly divorced from the rest of the world on graphs like this.

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Are you trolling or are legit unfamiliar with basic anthropology and genetics? None of what I’m saying is controversial. Evolution doesn’t take place over 90 thousand years. It takes millions of years. I just think you’re sort of stupid.

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Buddy, out of Africa happened 90,000 years ago. The group that left (ancestors of anyone not African) created a genetic bottleneck. This is why genetic diversity is lower for non Africans. Everything else you mentioned is environmental. I.e lighter skin, non-coarse hair etc

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Again, a drop in the bucket and all environmentally determined. These differentiated in the last 12,000 years. You’re ignoring the 80,000+ years of genetic differentiation up until that point.

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART skin tone fair enough because a lot of people of various races tan easier but realistically environmental factors arent gonna change your nose or lip shape or skull structure

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART You even admitted yourself you’re only looking at phenotype. Yet say race is “biological” when one could only share phenotype and have an entirely different genome. That isn’t science you fucking idiot. That’s not how that works.

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART So in essence, you’re taking only phenotypical features (again- idiotic when talking overall genetics) and saying ignore everything else. Since you share these features we’re grouping you into an entire “race” i.e. How is this anything other than a social group? It’s NOT biologic

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Phenotype is skin-deep and environmentally shaped. It’s one of the worst ways to define biological groups because it doesn’t reflect overall genetic similarity. It’s a drop in the bucket compared overall genome. This is the worst argument you could’ve made. You’re not serious lol

@DaeJDaMage @TerfTickler @hoezayART the biological basis is that they still have a shared phenotype, likely similar physical characteristics and traits despite their distances on genetic cluster graphs

Unkle Dae 🌻@DaeJDaMage·
@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART So with this new information (new to you not to me) if two Africans that share the same skin tone are more genetically dissimilar than any two populations on Earth, what exactly is the “biological basis” for race? Answer this one in your own words buddy :)

@iju5tdontknow @TerfTickler @hoezayART Africa looks “separate” precisely because it holds the most diverse branches of human genetics—not because it’s one uniform group. Any peer reviewed research will tell you this lol. It’s not controversial in the slightest. You’re just really reallyyyy dumb it seems.
