We have had a brilliant day out at Glasgow Science Centre! 🧪🧫 🔬 Primary 7/6 had lots of fun at the Electric Detective workshop, and exploring all of the fun experiments that they had on offer on each floor! 😃

How are you meeting the needs of your highly able learners? Our Adaptive Teaching session this afternoon focused on highly able learners. We discussed how we identify them, how we plan our lessons to challenge these learners and shared strategies we could use to help us.

We are very lucky to be joined by @safetymagicshow this afternoon to learn about Road Safety! 🚗🚦

P7/6 had a brilliant WBD! 📕 We started off the day by joining ‘The Great Big Footy and Booky Quiz’! We then started writing our own rap songs, inspired by MC Grammar, on some of our favourite books! 🎧🎶 Our families joined us for some literacy activities and got very creative!

Charlie, Euan and Grace representing Dailly Primary this morning by performing an extract of Tam O’ Shanter at the 23rd Annual Schools’ Burns Supper at Ayr Town Hall. They did a brilliant job! Many thanks to Alloway Burns Club and the Central Education Team for organising! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙

Our final morning at Lockerbie Manor! This morning we packed our bags, had breakfast and then participated in Jacob’s ladder, fencing and rifle shooting. We then had our lunch and headed back home to Dailly. 🚌💙 Lots of fantastic memories made over the last few days. 😊

Yesterday we participated in crate staking, axe throwing, raft building and the climbing wall. 🤩 All pupils embraced the weather and showed excellent teamwork skills. We then spent the evening abseiling in the dark! 😅

We had a brilliant first day travelling to Lockerbie Manor. 🤩 We stopped at Dumfries and went to the park. We then settled into our pods, participated in orienteering across the grounds of Lockerbie Manor. We had a fun night rifle shooting and fencing! 😁🌟💙

The EYC are off to an enthusiastic start today as they worked together to ‘Beat the Street’. It was great to get out and enjoy some early morning sunshine! ☀️They are looking forward to lots more activity to earn points over the next month! 🏆#beatthestreet #beatthestreetcarrick

This afternoon, P7/6 invited our visitor, Zoe from SAMH, into our class for an ‘Understanding and Managing Stress and Anxiety’ workshop. We explored various mental health topics and tackled the stigma surrounding mental health. 🧠 We know that it is brave to ask for help. 👏🏼

This afternoon @DaillyPrimary, @ColmonellPSEYC and @BallantraePS_EY shared and celebrated their Adaptive Teaching journey so far. Effective adaptations and great learner consultation evident 😊

Primary 7/6 had a brilliant ACE day today - we went to Mauchline and did abseiling and archery! 😁 Well done to all pupils who pushed themself out of their comfort zone. A super achievement! 🩵

Primary 7/6 enjoyed inviting our families into our class to join us for our open morning. 🌟 Our favourite fact of the day was: did you know that when the Eagle landed on the moon, they only had 25 seconds of fuel left? ⛽️

We think we might have some future firefighters at Dailly EYC! A super team assembled to help save the cat from the burning tree! They showcased communication, imagination, creativity, enthusiasm, leadership, patience and endurance! @_SkillsForLife @SACEarlyYears @fire_scot 🚒

Today P7/6 had fun experimenting with the Sphero Indi robot cars! Indi inspires imaginative, play-based learning whilst also creating opportunities to learn the basics of coding and enhance our computational thinking skills. 😁🌟🖥️ 🚙 🟩🟨🟦🟪🟥
