A fire broke out in the city of Hadera in northern Israel after a missile barrage from Iran on Wednesday, Israeli media reported.
According to Channel 12, sirens sounded in several cities across northern and central Israel, including Tel Aviv, Hadera and Caesarea.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said a missile struck Hadera, where smoke was seen rising.
Debris from intercepted missiles fell in the settlement of Modi’in Illit, Channel 12 said.
Loud explosions were also heard over Jerusalem as Israeli air defenses attempted to intercept the incoming missiles, an Anadolu Agency correspondent reported.
