Hustle, dedication, and a passion for livestock agriculture! Today was a productive day on the farm, sorting 150 grower pigs for fattening and breeding purposes. It's not an easy task, but someone's gotta do it!

I still have PTSD from the shege Agropartnerships showed us. I’m slowly coming to terms with the reality that we may never recover our money, even after engaging a lawyer. On the surface everything looked good - state partnerships, influencer marketing, award winning founders, etc alas it was all a facade.

Respectfully, this take is exactly why people look down on agriculture because they still see it as a side hustle instead of a serious career path. Agriculture feeds nations, creates billion dollar industries, and builds generational wealth. The problem isn't farming it's thinking small. @delish_farms shows discipline most high income skillset people will never have. She's not struggling in farming she's mastering an industry you clearly don't understand. And remember in one of my last tweet to you was that you must be doing something wrong with your Agric business. Save the tweet. In 3 years, she won't need your 1M. If she is consistent without facing all her obstacle head on. She'll be employing dozens while you're still telling people to quit. Agriculture IS a career path just not for people who quit when it gets hard. @delish_farms isn't looking for an easier route. She's building something real. Save your 1M. In 3 years, she'll be the example you use to apologize to the next young farmer.

I have been meaning to say something to you @delish_farms but I am afraid it would come off as me being Jealous cos then you will think I don’t want you to succeed in my industry. Today, I am going to tell you anyways. “Agriculture is NOT a career path you should take if you want to be a SUCCESSFUL person” You can have your farm by the side while you develop more high paying skillset. I see you put in most of the work, please stop it and Employ 1-2 people to do it for you. I am going to save this tweet and come back to it in 3 years. If you have succeeded, I then owe you 1,000,000 Naira for typing this RUBBISH.

I hope I never end up in jail in this country someday. If anyone ever tries to do this to a loved one or relative of mine, they won’t live to tell the story. In a place where there’s no real justice where the only response a woman gets is either being dismissed or demoted I’ll deliver my own judgment, with or without a court of law. If this happened overseas, this woman would likely have a major payday by suing the department or taking the police to court. But in Nigeria, all you get is an apology, and that’s the end of it.

The gap between government agricultural grants and the farmers they are meant to serve has become one of the most persistent, yet the very least visible, forms of institutional corruption in many developing and emerging in Nigeria Agricultural sector. While official reports often celebrate the disbursement of billions in farming subsidies, the reality on the ground tells a different story: an estimated 95% of us farmers never see a single unit of these funds. This is not merely inefficiency or bureaucratic delay. It is a systemic capture of public resources by a network of intermediaries, politically connected individuals, and corrupt officials who have learned to exploit every stage of the grant delivery process. #whereisthefarmgrant

No need to apologize, my brother youve already walked the path I'm crying out for. What you did with your fish farm is exactly what I'm talking about. You saw the middlemen choking you, and you built a way out which is processing + direct links. And for the flood that wasn't your fault government negligence and policies broke so many of us. But the fact that you had already set up a processing system before disaster hit shows you were thinking right. Most farmers never even get that far. You re a proof that when we process and go direct, we take back power. I'm sorry the flood took your operation, but that knowledge you gained linking with processors, cutting out the parasites that can't be washed away. We need to rebuild together. Farmers processing, farmers linking directly to buyers, farmers owning the full chain. No more middlemen feeding on our sweat.

@Dailyfarmdiary So sorry my brother, that has been our reality so unfortunate. When my fish farm/Hatchery was running before flood grounded me so bad due to government negligence, I had to setup a processing system and have link wit direct processors to curb middlemen menace

To my fellow farmers, We rise before the sun. We feed, tend, heal, and harvest. We lose sleep over drought, disease, and debt. And after all that labor day and night who takes the biggest share? The middleman. They rig the game: Claiming prices are down when they’re not Rejecting quality goods to force a lowball offer Using false scales and predatory loans Colluding to leave us with no buyer but them They buy our fish for 2500, sell it for 4000. Our tomatoes at a give away price, sold to families triple the amount they bought from us, and this goes in all farm produce. We do the sweat, they take the profit. No more. It’s time we process our own products. Dry the tomatoes. Butcher and pack our own meat. Make sauce, make jerky, make flour. This would been the way but most of us farmers don’t have the financial strength to set up a processing plant for all our harvest. Something needs to be done so we cut out the exploiter. We set our own price. We keep our own profit. Let the middleman find someone else to cheat. We’re taking back what’s ours. A concerned tired farmer, fighting for a change. #StopFarmerExploitation #ProcessNotSellRaw #WeSweatTheyProfit #MiddlemenEatFarmersStarve

@Dailyfarmdiary @NigeriaStories Agreed, but Government hasn't done much to attain that level of self-sufficiency. Those countries we import from, what do they have that we don't have? What do they do differently?

If you’re given 5 acres today… Are you planting 1 crop on all 5 acres OR splitting it across multiple crops? Be honest… which one actually makes more profit? Because diversification sounds smart… until it starts reducing your focus and yields. And monocropping looks risky… until it scales your income properly. Farmers, let’s stop pretending which one is REALLY making you the most money?

If anyone tells you installing CCTV on your farm is a waste of money… just smile 😂 Watching rain fall on my farm beats Netflix any day. The moment I get a notification, I’m already tuned in zooming, rotating cameras, watching everything like a live movie 🎬🌧️ Before my workers even report that a plantain tree fell, I’ve already counted how many went down 😭😂 At this point, it’s me and the rain monitoring the farm together.
