I’ve signed this petition against lowering the adult:child ratios in early years childcare settings. As a mother to two children, they really do need constant supervision, and it’s madness to think this move would be safe. @TOSFoundationUK I’m so deeply sorry for your loss x

There is a need to explore the physical attributes of #AAC #Augcomm devices - parents and users really value these but they are often rated as lower importance by professionals - really interesting from i-ASC team at #CM2022conf

I introduced a six-year-old with CP to EyeGaze today, using Look to Read. He loved it, and his teacher was amazed by him engaging for 20 minutes when he normally concentrates for 2. Magic? Not really. Just gave him an easier access method. #PresumePotential @ThinkSmartbox

Today one of my non-speaking autistic students used Supercore 30 with Eye Gaze to say “imagine everything pretty” totally unprompted. I commented that it was very profound, and he smiled at me. I feel we have only scratched the surface. #PresumePotential #AAC @ThinkSmartbox

Apparently it can be difficult to find Occupational Therapists who are interested in #AssistiveTech or #AAC! I find this hard to believe but those that want to join this amazing field there are vacancies at @AceCentre (Oldham), @AACWESTNHS (Bristol) and ACT (Birmingham) @theRCOT
