ULTIMATE FRISBEE: Uganda to encounter Kenya and Tanzania in Tri-Nations Tournament. Uganda’s Impala Frisbee Club and Fortportal Frisbee Club are headed to Kisumu, Kenya for the 5th Lake Victoria Grass Ultimate Frisbee Tournament from the 08th to 09th June 2024. CRICKET: UGANDA TO DEBUT AT ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP The Uganda Cricket Men’s National Team, the Cricket Cranes are set to debut at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup #T20WorldCup, from the 01st to 29th June 2024 in the USA & West Indies. Today, the Hon. @OgwangOgwang has flagged off #TeamUganda at Lugogo. Hon. @OgwangOgwang: It is exciting to have Uganda qualify to compete at Cricket World Cup against the World Super powers. Nothing is impossible for Uganda and we are on the right trajectory as a sector. @DrOgwelBenard: Uganda Cricket has previously made 3 appearances at the Junior Cricket World Cup and we are excited that the senior Men’s team is making its maiden appearance. This is a testimony of the progressive development of Uganda Cricket and is a clear justification for Government’s continued financial support to the sports sector. ‘We are excited to play at the World Cup and we are going to give it our best.’-Team Captain Brian Masaba The 2024 T20 Cricket World Cup will feature 20 teams and 55 matches that will be played in USA and West Indies. EXPERIENCE: Uganda She Cranes Coach Fred Mugerwa on what Peace Proscovia brings to set-up, ahead of the Vitality Cup in the United Kingdom.

Uganda’s She Cranes, the National Women’s Netball Team are set to go head to head against the world’s leading netball nations in the 2024 Vitality Netball Nations Cup featuring Australia, England, and New Zealand between the 20th to 28th January 2024 in England. Prior to this, the #SheCranes will also compete in the International Test Series in Wales from 10th to January 2024 in Cardiff, Wales.

Today, NCS concludes its National Program of District Sports Outreach in Mbarara, Kampala, Hoima and their surrounding districts. NCS believes that working closely with Districts will enable mass participation and high performance sports Dev’t as part of the transforming agenda.

NCS DISTRICT SPORTS OUTREACH: NCS believes that functional sports structures at the District cannot be complete without the existence of functional District Sports Councils. Through the District visits, NCS shall capture and share challenges &jointly find workable interventions.
