@Joneeysinss @Imsonali0 5 star doesn't provide only cleanliness but also a better room, a nice sofa, nice bed and a good bathroom with bathtub along with swimming pool access and buffet also. So she isn't all of this as it's an $8 room but cleanliness is the most basic thing anybody would expect.

@Imsonali0 Expecting 5-star cleanliness for $8? The poor thing got a reality check. India's budget hospitality is special.

Foreign girl blogger got excited after taking a room for 8 dollars = 765 ₹... poor quality beds The girl said, I got such a bad quality bed.. 😭 Did the hotel owner commit fraud with the foreign girl? A foreign blogger came to visit India, she took a double bed room for ₹765, she and her friend were there. When both of them went inside the room, they picked up the pillow and saw that it had not been cleaned. Then she laughs and tells her friend that these people provide cheap rooms but do not clean them, due to which people can get sick.

@Raajsingh0709 @Imsonali0 Did she ask for a big room with a nice sofa and bathtub in the bathroom like a $100 room? Even if it's $8 they should at least keep it clean. And why should middle class Indians use unhygienic rooms? Cleanliness is the most basic thing.

@Imsonali0 Foreigners are often shocked to visit India's ultra-cheap hotels. Do you expect 5-star cleanliness for ₹8? Be a little realistic. Middle-class Indians use the same.

How hard is it for govt to do development along with keeping greenery and trees. Wouldn't it look good plus will keep places cool. If you make an expressway why can't you plant thousands of lakhs trees on both sides. Within cities why can't we plant more n more trees?

@ameeth_soni @anandmahindra That's the difference for you and now for most it's a trip but actually it used to be pilgrimage. And if you find this difficult then there's something wrong with you.

@anandmahindra Sir with due respect Kedarnath trip is still not that easy for the true devotees and middle class people, not easy to walk on foot for 32kms , sleeping in tent with mere protection and mercy of nature, it took me 12 years of wait to see and exp the divine. Om Namah Shivay.

Apparently, this is one of the earliest known photographs of the sacred Kedarnath Dham, taken in 1882. Couldn’t take my eyes off it. No roads. No railheads. No helicopters. Just the abode of Lord Shiva, cradled by the Himalayas Back then, the yatra demanded time, endurance, & faith. The journey wasn’t incidental; it WAS the pilgrimage. Today, access is easier. And that’s a good thing because it opens the experience to many more. But perhaps something still needs preserving? The ability to slow down & savour the experience of traveling. Because journeys are about who we become along the way. #SundayWanderer (Photo courtesy @LostTemple7 )

Why I mean why we Indians aren't concerned about how quickly the climate is changing for us? Like it's april and the weather has already reached unbearable temp. Govt is busy cutting every tree in the name of development. It feels like we are living in a concrete world.

Will there be a day when people in India will stop thinking on how much they can fill their pockets by doing every possible corrupt practice whether its govt or public. Seems like everyone is a scammer here trying to fill their pockets without any guilt.

@inthezonexxx Not coping but actually it's normalised to such an extent that people actually fear if the city gets better they won't be able to break laws spitting, peeing in public and break traffic laws. Getting fresh air, unadulterated food is luxury

@Studiotofs @gharkekalesh Do you have any idea how expensive plants are? Also how much effort people put to plant n take care of them. If anybody wants to plant then they should buy instead of stealing.

@gharkekalesh There are worse crimes in the world. A lady taking some plant very likely to replant hurts no one. Not worth shaming publicly. I’d leave a few potted plants out for her so she doesn’t have to do this.

A lot of people criticising the WI team for complaining about not being able to fly home but I would encourage those criticising them to think about it like this. I’ve been stuck at resorts twice in the past (stuff like ash cloud, plane issues) and it’s not as fun as most people would think. We all have appointments to make, things to do, and actually after a lot of time spent on the road being away from home isn’t particularly fun. It’s certainly not a holiday. It feels like you’re trapped in a hotel you don’t really want to be in. Cricketers (and coaches/support staff) get a limited amount of time to spend at home & with their families. Going back for the IPL is a red herring. Maybe they want to be able to spend some time at home relaxing to recharge before a long tournament like the IPL. Why should that be too much to ask from them?
Vipin Tiwari@Vipintiwari952

If Shimron Hetmyer couldn’t stay 3–4 extra days during the World Cup because he is missing his family SO MUCH, maybe he should consider skipping the IPL too because that’s a two-month stay away from home… and of course he will be crying in the hotel and we can’t see him sad.

Wasim n Waqar bowled a lot on bowler-friendly pitches back then. Batsmen mostly played orthodox, bat quality wasn't this good, strike rates weren't like 200+ like today. Meanwhile bumrah on flat pitches with everything favouring batsmen still has low economy. #INDvsENG
