It’s not just about the taste though, it’s about the preparation, the novel use of ingredients, imagination and also knowing how ingredients work together. The presentation is important, it has to look inviting. The taste is the end of that process. Given her cooking demos I just don’t believe she would be able to separate all that out.

I feel for the contestants, they are in a serious cooking competition and they are going to be judged by a someone who lacks any culinary talent, how is that fair? Her PR team have really been splashing the cash to get these gigs. So far they’ve outraged parents and attracted a shed load of criticism, she can’t hold a serving tool correctly, he’s going to some conference to make a speech on a topic about which he almost certainly knows little to nothing. It’s hard to take this circus seriously.
