Many academics seem worried about how AI will help students cheat. I think they should be worried about how AI will be used to replace academics in the next big wave of corporate restructuring of higher education. It's a labor issue, not an academic integrity one.

I was encouraged by what seemed to be a growing consensus for the need of at least a humanitarian pause in the Middle East.
Regrettably, instead I was surprised by an unprecedented escalation of bombardments, undermining humanitarian objectives.
This situation must be reversed.
