@MareeRyan7 I don't know if we understand dementia well enough. People seem to be captured into a certain time frame from their past. Perhaps that is it.

Mum seems to have developed a fear of spiders on a level she has never had before. I’m wondering if this part of the dementia journey. Is increased fear of something in particular usual for those with dementia?

Reaction to the NCHSAA moving to 8A, among the public, has been mixed at best. But I have to say watching Wilson Prep win 1A Thursday — and half of Watauga County at UNC today to watch Watauga chase its first state title in 1978 — that 8 classes opens up big opportunities for teams that wouldn't have them under the old system. Also NCHSAA state titles mean a lot to say many.
