If you want to understand Arthur C. Clarke’s inspiration for the end of 2oo1: A Space Odyssey, you need to read: “Star Maker” by Olaf Stapledon. And the November 1928 copy of “Amazing Stories” edited by Hugo Gernsback. It’s all there. I have a chapter dedicated to it in my book.

This is why the current UAP/UFOs/Flying Saucer flap is laughable. This is the level of ‘evidence’ believers are seduced by. In a world of 4K phones everywhere this is the best they can do. Convincing for a 5 year old perhaps.

Waiting for the UAP/flying saucer brigade to come up with the usual excuses about why, despite this release of government UFO files, there is still no evidence of anything. Absence of the smoking-gun evidence they want is simply evidence of more daft conspiracy. It’s logic a 5 year old could master.
