Denver’s gun safety laws help keep weapons of war off our streets. Colorado has seen horrific mass shootings in which rifles with large capacity magazines inflict devastating damage. Donald Trump is trying to make it easier to get these weapons, but Denver and Colorado will always fight back against federal overreach. axios.com/local/denver/2…

This is probably TMI. If you scroll by, I totally get it. My hubby and I are having a disagreement about future farm practices. We are more than likely eligible for grants through the government for a new well and fencing. We want to increase our silvopasture. I am opposed to government involvement on our farm. He says that I am being ignorant (stupid) and why should other people cash in and we don't. I understand where he is coming from. He works very hard to supplement the income here. But our learing center would come with oversight. I don't want to sell my farm to the government. Hyperbole! Am I just being extra? I can take constructive criticism. Don't be ugly.. I would like to see both sides..It would definitely help move things forward. 😕

The Plymouth Pilgrims accidentally ran the first documented socialist experiment in America three centuries before Marx scribbled his manifesto. Governor William Bradford's "common storehouse" system from 1620-1623 delivered textbook collectivist results: mass shirking, crop failures, and near-starvation. Bradford recorded the disaster in detail. Young men "complained that they were oppressed" when forced to work for others without reward. Productive colonists watched lazy neighbors receive equal rations despite contributing nothing. The system "was found to breed much confusion and discontent" because it violated basic human incentives. People starved while fertile Massachusetts soil lay underworked. The turnaround came swiftly in 1623 when Bradford abandoned the collective model and assigned private family plots. Production exploded overnight. Women and children voluntarily joined field work when their families directly benefited from extra effort. The same colonists who nearly died under socialism suddenly produced abundant harvests under private property. Bradford explicitly credited private ownership for saving Plymouth Colony. He documented how individual responsibility transformed human behavior within a single growing season. Individual effort cannot be separated from individual reward without destroying both. Every socialist experiment since Plymouth has repeated this identical pattern. Different century, different continent, same predictable collapse when planners ignore the reality of human nature. No matter what they call it, whenever and wherever collectivist ideas are put into practice, disaster soon follows.

For everyone who responds to me saying my family and I regularly eat leftovers: 1. Go fuck yourselves 2. My wife loves cooking. It's her hobby. 3. Feeding a family of four and correctly estimating how hungry each person is for each menu item for every meal is hard. 4. She intentionally makes more than necessary specifically so we have leftovers, so she isn't constantly in the kitchen doing meal prep for everyone all the time. 5. We have 3 extremely large top-loading freezers. 6. I will do whatever the fuck I want, it's my money. Not yours.

It’s wild that the majority of X users from Texas are aware that Abbott is a traitor. But my followers on Facebook vehemently defend him. It’s clear there’s a difference in the information people see from one platform to another. I love my Facebook followers, but I think some of them watch too much Fox. They need to travel over to X where the truth is presented without sugar coating.

This tune from 1976 off DAC’s best album Longhaired Redneck might be ol Dave Coe’s best song and one of the few that were somewhat autobiographical. In 1967, after spending a few years in jail in Ohio for burglary, DAC tried his hand as a musician playing blues rock and toured with Grand Funk Railroad. In 1971, DAC reinvented himself as the Mysterious Rhinestone Cowboy, moved to Nashville becoming a prolific songwriter dressed in outrageous rhinestone suits for publicity. Think Shel Silverstein not Merle Haggard. In 1975, DAC reinvented himself again as an outlaw with an embellished backstory and tall tales of prison and biker lifestyle. DAC viewed himself as an actor playing a role through music. Do you think Deniro is a real wise guy from Brooklyn? He grew up in Greenwich Village the son of a Broadway actress and a “song and dance man.” Tupac a real gangster? He was an effeminate theater kid from Baltimore who studied ballet and poetry and loved Culture Club. Chris Stapleton? He was valedictorian and went to Vanderbilt. Don’t be a useful idiot. My wife has acquired another goat. This is goat number three. She tells me that three goats will be enough but I’m starting to be skeptical. I have become a full time goat herder. This is who I am now. It has always been my fate. There’s no escaping it.

@Captain_0f_Alts Mail call! The smoked salmon I won from Sleepy Bay Salmon arrived! Thank y’all very much!! I was stationed at Ft. Lewis years ago and I ate some pretty decent smoked salmon, then went back to Texas and occasionally picked up some store bought.🧵
