It is NOT a flood that occurs once every 1000 years. It is a flood height that has a 0.1% chance of occurring at that location in any give year.
You can have two 1-in-1000 year floods in the same year!

You know what provides more fuel security than $2bil for fossil fuels? #EVs powered by Australian renewable energy. It is v frustrating the Govt is subsidising fossil fuels while rejecting subsidies for #EVs.

btw just a little thing the Bureau of Meteorology revealed at Estimates today that Australia is on track to warm by ‘closer to 4 degrees’ and the gov isn’t batting an eyelid #ClimateEmergency
