@redsoxpayroll But I’m disappointed today. Not because we didn’t get Joe Ryan or a first baseman. But because when you look at the fine print, the front office and ownership still reek of dysfunction. You better hope this deadline doesn’t hurt both the short-term and long-term. We’ll see.

@redsoxpayroll We’ll see how the team and organization respond to this trade deadline but I’m still very high on what this team can achieve. We’ll be squarely in the mix for the Wild Card and can still potentially challenge for the division.

Thoughts on the trade deadline: -SP price was really high. No one got a controllable starter and teams had to overpay for a rental -Considering SP price, I’m surprised we didn’t acquire Morton. There’s a hometown connection too - him and Breslow played Little League together

Very reminiscent of the ‘22 deadline when we didn’t move in either direction while staying above the luxury tax. If you’re gonna spend, spend. If you want to be efficient, get below the CBT line and don’t incur penalties. This limbo state is infuriating.

We got better after this trade - I will die on this hill. And like I said earlier: June 16th, 2025 will be known as the day the Boston Red Sox were reborn.
