@AriaIgniata I know who my main characters are and then a few side characters. It's about finding the balance between who is the most interesting and who knows to much. It's a balancing act for sure.

Writers, how do you decide who your POV characters are going to be?

@memeslich Yes. This is why I don't let players make their characters alone in a vacuum. We do it during session 0 so that they all jive.

Should a Dungeon Master reveal a Dungeons & Dragons campaign's theme or setting before character creation?

@kalaelizabeth I've now seen a bit of character creation which was what I wanted. Everything else is gravy, but I've been sold since the reveal trailer.

Dealing with a lot of stress and burn out from work. How do y’all deal with it? I’m at my wits end. Got reprimanded today for minor mistakes, and I’m kind of realizing my best isn’t good enough

@miz0mei I took my work email off my phone first. Then I started calling my keycard lanyard my "give a fuck lanyard," when it's around my neck I care. As soon as I take it off I don't. It's not a perfect system but it helps on really bad days.

@DammeSean Man I wish I could do that! But I find it following me. Like even off the clock my mind is still on work. Do you have a method to not think about it?

@jessiegender Ad breaks. Every episode was forced into it's act structure by the commercial break, and needed those mini cliffhangers to keep you around. So each 45 min vs 60 episode had more forward propellant.

Why is it that shows with 24 episode seasons from years ago seem to have a faster pace than most streaming series with 8-episode seasons.

Honestly I'm baffled by the negative reaction to the slice of life illustrations in the 2024 PHB. I don't remember anyone making a fuss about pics like this from Mordenkainen or Tasha's!
