My final takeaways about the Vtuber Award incident: - Ironmouse has experienced harassment like no one else, she would NEVER risk doing this to someone else, she'd rather use herself as a meatshield instead of sending Peanut any hate and I think that's very admirable. However, her tweet could have been worded better, she could have acknowledged frustration and sought to move on together as a community, rather than refer to their emotions as cringe. - TheBurntPeanut is growing faster than PirateSoftware during his explosion, I don't think he realizes how much influence he truly has yet. He needs to get WAY more moderators for his chat. He also needs to do what Kai Cenat did in 2024 with Ironmouse, and tell his community to STOP any sort of harassment towards any other Vtubers or their fans, PERIOD. If he doesn't set boundaries like this then his career will end as quickly as it has flourished. - Shroud is probably the most guilty in all this. Live on stream he throws the idea of Peanut taking over the Vtuber awards because it would be "funny" to see Vtubers seethe, very classy unc. Seeing that there's a power dynamic at play(OG streamer VS Newcomer), Peanut nervously laughs and agrees, even though he doesn't consider himself to be a Vtuber: youtube.com/shorts/igovF1L… And finally, don't get it twisted, gatekeeping is necessary to keep bad actors away.
