The way I handle borrowing is simple: I don’t borrow what I can’t afford to forget. I don’t disturb my debtors to pay me back. Once I give you money and you don’t pay me back, I just use that money to chase you away. That’s the last time you’ll get ₦1 from me.

That’s why I don’t listen to the Ote$ or Dangote or all those Ted Talks where they platform entrepreneurs from solid backgrounds. They have absolutely nothing to offer me in terms of scaling cause they already started playing the game of entrepreneurship on easy mode. You finish school and want to start a Fashion business and your parents already rents/buys you a store, you employ skilled labor, you make an outfit and sell for 500k to your same circle of rich friends and associates. Why won’t you be ahead of me who started with 50k, sold shirts for 2k, owed tailors, quit a couple times out of frustration, go for NYSC with the sole purpose of learning to sew, learnt myself, moved to Lagos and started muscling it out, raised money and got my first shop and was evicted a year later, got my second shop and left a year later, got my 3rd shop had to leave cause of Band A, started selling from my home for a year before getting my 4th store so yeah someone from a privileged background has absolutely nothing to offer me in terms of advice cause our background and experiences differ.

I see everyone saying he is a good man in the comment. Oh yes he is. But no one is talking about the fact that nobody was watching out for him. Why did he by all that foodstuff and nobody thought to keep at least 1 yam for him for dinner? Even the Bible says the husband man must be the first partaker. What did your mom or the eldest daughter do about this? Just curious. Cos if a man has a habit of stocking up the house with food stuffs, the least that can be done for him is to prepare a decent meal out of it for him. You take his own apart and keep before it runs out, that would have been the right thing to do.🤔 When someone watches out for you, you watch out for them in turn.
Remi@Miss_Oluremi

My dad is the one who buys foodstuffs in the house. He buys everything in large quantities. Everything! So we've never suffered for food. The only time he eats at home is dinner. Except for weekends. One day, he said he wanted yam because he bought it in large quantity the previous month. And we told him yam is finished. He asked, "All that yams?" We answered yes. His response was, " Oga oo, I didn't even eat from it." He just went out. We felt bad when he came back carrying bag of yams, that day I realised that he doesn't even eat much from what he worked hard for. Yet he did not stop buying.
