@franky249356544 @XCDLT At a cool $1M per unit, ($90M for 90 units) the Moongate Plaza is not sustainable & affordable low-income housing. It is housing that supports the Homeless Industrial Complex by being so expensive to build, no communities can afford it.

@DanBeck_Band @XCDLT The city is LAND LOCKED. Meaning the space available for housing is extremely vital and shouldn’t be used for suburban single family homes. The city needs to think about the future and adopt ordinances that will allow multi-residential spaces such as Tynan Village and Moon Gate.

All over America, millions of people are worried they will not be able to pay the rent, put food on the table, purchase their prescription drugs or go to a doctor when they get sick. We must respond to their pain with a bold economic agenda not seen in this country since FDR.

@XCDLT We also need to make sure the City is called out for WAIVING THE 20% INCLUSIONARY HOUSING REQUIREMENT IN DOWNTOWN SALINAS. That needs to be reversed.

@XCDLT Time to organize and force the city to stop its ineffective ‘reactive’ behavior (sweeps) and become proactive. After all, we have all the money in the world. Look how much McShane wasted on his campaign signs. THAT $$$ could have built 20 tiny homes.

@XCDLT We need to do two things as a community: build beautiful housing and build beautiful housing. Housing that does NOT rent for market rate and does NOT cost $1M per unit to build.

@XCDLT A campground and RV park would be a great start. Then a tiny home village where the houses rent for $1 a square foot so our seniors, students and low income residents can actually afford to live OFF of the street.
