Thousands gather for anti far-right march in London bbc.in/4bCwo6W

@DanMasterton @BBCNews 😂 Since when did a trade union have to be politically neutral?

Wow! This year I’ve been a professional animator for 30 years.
I’d love to share just some of the work I’ve done - so here’s 30 years of animation in 3 minutes…
I wonder what the animation world will be like in another 30 years?

I’ve seen this a lot. Anything ‘right’ is hate, anything ‘left’ is hope.
It’s like thinking in goodies and baddies in comic book terms.
Example : Parents are constantly making tough decisions for their household. We need to cut down on this so we can do that. Do we need all those TV channels, the best phones, the best car. What can we buy from the supermarket that we can cook and will last in the freezer to save money.
Well imagine being in government is like looking after a family, only far bigger and the stakes are higher.
You can’t go around promising holidays to your kids to Disney world Florida, if you’re struggling to pay your bills.
It’s not hate, it’s realism.

Strange comment by Sophy Ridge suggesting that Zack Polanski is the polar opposite on the far left, to Tommy Robinson on the far right
The framing is surreal, as if love, kindness and hope is in any way similar to hate and division
At least LibDem's Lisa Smart had the integrity to say,
"I can't think of anything particularly divisive that would sit him alongside Tommy Robinson"
What Polanski has done is show that there are other, better ways of doing things
You may not agree with everything he might say, but then why aren't we asked the same question about whether people agree with everything other politicians say?
Find the things you have in common and support one another
Most of all, work together to protect society from the populist far right who exploit people's frustrations and grievances to divide, and cause harm to society
Conservative austerity broke the country and Labour's slightly lesser austerity isn't enough to fix things
Our country needs a better direction, and at the very least it can be argued that Zack Polanski is driving that agenda

@MaciasGraj89606 @tasyakura_art This has more soul than any Ai

@AntiWokeMemes I don’t think those opposing should stoop to their level.
Keep your standards high.

What a load of of crap. I’ve met people like this. Obsessed with their parking space, sore leg, asthma, bad heart. It’s utter tripe and they just think they own the road in front of them.
I would have told her to eff off and closed the door. Not even worth having a conversation with these idiots.
English

This woman and her daughter come and knock on the door of this college house where the students get a parking spot in the driveway and the other two roommates park in the street.
The woman is an asthmatic and claims that she always parks in a certain spot and that everyone else is aware and respects it. She tells them to move the car and not to park there anymore.
The student refutes it and says it’s public street parking and she has no right to claim it. Why is this woman arguing with them when she can call the city and ask to designate a handicap spot for her, is she being out of line?
English

@CuriosityonX Add some stars to the comp. Maybe some detail to the wave to make it seem larger.
English

@GAltringham Good film. Draws you into a character you can relate to as a frustrate adult, then hits you with ‘you might just be a nutball.’
Plus the burger scene is incredible.
English

@GAltringham Absolute masterpiece.
Maybe its originality is lost now, but at the time, it was amazeballs.
I put that film maybe second or third under my favourite of all time.. Leon.
English

@madcowe @LeonDVine @Artedeingenio Sorry to jump in, but ‘child labour’? Seriously?
If consumers drift toward quality and price, do you think they’ll give a rats arse about child labour?
Or don’t you own a phone?
English

@LeonDVine @DanMasterton @Artedeingenio It has nothing to do with what I'd like or not.
People will always create and express themselves.
But financially and viably, the consumers will always drift towards the best quality at the lowest price.
Product A: child labour + cheap
B: no CL + Expensive
Which sells?
English

My favorite complaint from AI haters is: "you didn’t do anything, the AI did it."
Name a single art form where you can create something without a tool.
Following that logic, the pencil makes the drawing, the brush makes the painting, the chisel makes the sculpture, and the camera takes the photo.
So the only art that deserves to be called art would be the one that exists only in the mind and is never materialized.
The problem is, if it’s never expressed, you can’t even know if it truly exists.
Schrödinger’s art.
English

Is it though?
There are many countries you can’t drink the tap water.
Point is, I’ve heard about too many government projects that fail. Privatisation brought in competition. Which means a demand to beat your customer, and offer greater value.
It’s not a perfect system, but a union driven government entity running anything, overpricing everything, because of the bottomless pit of government spending is not a great idea.
And what would that mean? ANOTHER tax rise to pay for it?
It doesn’t bear thinking about.
English

@DanMasterton @Heccles94 @ZackPolanski So how come England is the only country to privatise water and it's a total disaster?
English

If I was in charge of digging a lake to collect rain water. Creating a huge processing factory to clean the water, and hiring people to work and run that factory. Then asking people to dig and repair holes in the ground so it can get to every household, and be drinkable. Then running sewers to process in another factory, hiring workers to ensure that runs well. Chemicals etc are all delivers on time. Having teams ready in case there’s a leak, paying the staff, paying for repairs, planning for dry and wet seasons….
I would call that a business, no?
It may be free rain, but to get that rain to your tap, takes a hell of a lot of work.
English

@DanMasterton @Heccles94 @ZackPolanski It's not a business in a commercial sense, it's a natural monopoly. The customer has no choice. England is the only country in the world where the water companies are all privatised. Our rivers are full of shit as are our coastal bathing waters.
English

@tomisin_ms They saw all the smelly activists and marketing went to work.
English

@c_kennaugh @Heccles94 @ZackPolanski Drainage, sewage, pipe maintenance, fixing water leaks.etc.
If it’s not a business, what is it?
