Athletics brought me to Texas Tech 27 years ago…and now I’m officially entering the retirement portal. 😁 Grateful for a career that started in sports, grew in academics, and made the next chapter possible. #WreckEm Official portal graphic: @WESPN

A faithful man of God who opened his camp to serve others across Texas. His legacy of ministry and love for Christ touched countless lives. Praying comfort over his family and all who knew him. Well done, good and faithful servant. 💔🙏

“Keep your nose to the grindstone and do good work. And let the chips fall where they may.” Many years ago our first producer and mentor, Scott Faris, @APStudioTX taught us this. Heeding those words of wisdom the last ten years has produced six albums of music, carried us around the world introducing us to folks from all walks of life and just earned us our 2nd ACM Nomination! With honor and gratitude we accept a seat at the table @ACMawards for all the Humble Folk back home and abroad! Tune in to the show – Thursday, May 8 at 8e | 5p on @PrimeVideo! #ACM60

I am proud to support Steve in this very important race. I believe if you take time to evaluate the facts, he’s the only viable candidate. There is a lot of noise in this race about what the Council has done while Steve has served Lubbock. Here’s what has happened since he joined the Council in 2016: - More than 14,000 net new jobs created in Lubbock. - Significant economic development wins including Leprino Foods and X-Fab investing $1.5 Billion in Lubbock. - Significant (and much needed) investments in Police and Fire facilities while also increasing public safety personnel salaries. - South Plains College academic campus in Downtown Lubbock. - Loop 88 funding. Marsha Sharp Freeway widened. - Federal designation of Interstate 27 route - connecting Lubbock and West Texas fiber, food and fuel to the western US and the world. - Preston Smith Lubbock International Airport remodeled and upgraded for the first time since the 1970’s. - Successful Street Bond package to address Lubbock’s biggest needs. - Creation of a State Veteran’s Cemetery to honor those who have bravely served us. - AND….the City Tax Rate has been LOWERED by 11.3%. Steve is a small business owner. Steve is an experienced leader. Steve gets things done.

Breezy conditions at the Masters, and the low round of the day (so far) belongs to Ludvig Aberg. Why’s he having so much success in the wind? Four years of college golf at Texas Tech. This would be a fairly calm day in Lubbock😂

Well, here it is, y'all. Last week we wished Officer Larry Barnhill the best in his next chapter in life. In fact, we told you we would be following up with a video that just might make you sniffle a bit. No judgment if you do. That video is below. We hope you enjoy. Thank you, Larry. P.S. Nikki Haley is just another George (or Jeb!) Bush. She is weak on the border, doesn’t want a wall, claimed "Legal Immigrants are more patriotic than most Americans these days,” and she defended Obama when Pres. Trump criticized his terrible open-borders policy. And Nikki Haley refused to support a transgender bathroom bill to protect children. If we wanted a “Bush in heels,”Republicans would vote for Liz Cheney.

Former Lubbock City Council Member T.J. Patterson died Wednesday morning at the age of 85. He was the first African-American elected to serve on the Lubbock City Council in 1984, and went on to serve in that role for 20 years. May he rest in peace❤️
