@BQuillmanQcast Again, IMO a bigger issue is the previous possession which is a clear illegal screen. Offensive player is moving and his arms are outside the width of his feet and shoulders. Automatic call. If the correct call is made we aren't talking the last few seconds.

@yesh222 @BQuillmanQcast Also should note - assuming this was end of game? There are special replay rules for when the clock reads zero yet a replay is required to determine if a foul occurred. In this case - they add time to “when the foul was committed”. EVEN if the whistle was after the buzzer

@BQuillmanQcast @Jhaneyref Can't review this for foul. IMO definite illegal screen on prior play. On last play the defender isn't in legal guarding position but IMO not enough contact to warrant a foul at any point of the game.

I believe they can’t review when the contact was made…but rather can only review when the official made the call.

@BQuillmanQcast Good question. NCAA rulebooks aren't currently accessible online (I assume due to a glitch) so I can't 100% check, but basically whatever the ref says he meant to do they'll go with.

@RyanAlanScott If I am correct, if this was called it would be a class B technical foul, resulting in one free-throw, and then the ball returns to the point of interruption under Otterbein. One technical per player if they leave the bench for fighting

I did some digging through the rulebook. The ball was not technically in play, so perhaps there's some leeway there. There is an exception for celebration, but this instance stretches that definition quite a bit. Curious to hear the official explanation. #d3hoops

I also get refs not wanting to decide team's seasons this way but what do you say to the coach on the other bench who feels the letter of the law wasn't enforced?
If you've been a fan long enough your team has probably both benefitted from and been on the raw end of one of these

@OACBBallShow I unfortunately lost a regional final game for this very reason. Refs hated to call it but had to call the T. Put them on the line to win(and gave the ball) with less than a second left. Felt for the kid involved but the call is a T. Surprised other coach did not make huge issue.

Dude at D3 Sarah Lawrence ran good shit last night. Anyone know his name? Went like 11-3 in that league. School is basically Caricature of Woke Affluence U, costs a zillion dollars and has probably 200 dudes total— making it all the more impressive. Some NESCAC should hire him

Just a disaster for scorer’s table in last 2 minutes at the Lenovo Center. There has to be some runoff with a possession. Put 0.1 or 0.2 on clock. It started at 0.5 so can’t stay at 0.5
