@derek_gilbert I have tried LangChain twice. First when it originally came out, and again when my company tried to use it 4 months ago. The output is so bad. Is it me? Am I missing something? I convinced our team to switch to Mastra and the results are thousands of times better.

I cannot explain how good agent fleets are going to be. This seems like an industry changing product. nothing Ive used has even come close. It feels like both large CRMs really tried to do this initially but it failed. Langchain nailed it. Ive only played with it for a few hours but I cant stop. Feels like if you want a personal hobby agent you go with openClaw, if you want an agent to help you at work its claude, but if you want a fleet of agents for your entire workforce? well there is only one place ive seen that vision accomplished and its now langchain. congrats guys. @LangChain @hwchase17

GitHub dropped a toolkit that kills vibe coding spec-kit: describe what you want → AI writes specs → plans → builds works with every major AI coding agent Link - github.com/github/spec-kit

I always start AI coding prompts with: "Can we..." I'm waiting for the day one goes: "Sure WE can do that. Why don't YOU fucking take this one"

@NateEvenson @LayoffAI Yep, they're laying off all these people so they have the funds to eventually acquire the fast-moving startups. The circle of life.

@LayoffAI Longer term prediction. These companies doing all the firing will get smoked by younger companies that do what they do, better. With even less people.

Andrew Yang is calling it "The Fuckening." That's his actual word for it. And honestly it fits. A CEO of a publicly traded tech company told him directly: "We're firing 15% now. Another 20% in two years. Another 20% after that." There are 70 million white collar workers in this country. Yang projects 20 to 50% of those jobs gone within a few years. The low end of that is 14 million people. The entire 2008 crisis wiped out 8.7 million. The difference this time is the jobs don't come back. A recession ends and companies rehire. This time the work still gets done. It just gets done by software. The position itself stops existing. Nothing expands margins like replacing a $379K employee with a $200/month subscription. We track it all at layoffhedge.com. 58 companies. 254,000 people. And climbing. Yang is writing about what's coming. We're counting what's already here.

I’m in love with Austin, this city is amazing so much happening and the perfect place to be building hardware or software in the ai space. Not just because of talent but because of actual grid infrastructure. I can see myself spending a lot of time here.

@nickgraynews My situation is the opposite. Now that I've got a few OpenClaw agents available via Slack, I've been leaving my office much more than the previous 9 months. I just open Slack and jot a note or assign them a Linear ticket. It's great.

I've talked to a lot of people working in AI with agents, Claude Code, etc One thing I keep hearing that nobody has written about is that many builders have stopped going to the gym The reason is always the same: the perceived opportunity cost of stepping away from their projects feels too high I've noticed it in myself too It's hard to break away when we're all building such cool stuff But I'm typing this from the gym right now And I'll tell you that it feels great You should go exercise if you haven't lately You'll have better energy and better focus Less prompting and more lifting!!
