@janninereid1 In Texas, I cursed out a teacher in 3rd grade. I got a paddling and put in 2nd grade for not being emotionally fit for 3rd. I did well after and even skipped 4 grade and placed in 5th. I never had another problem and graduated high school with Honors!

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi Without a shared transcendent standard to unite people, society often fragments into competing tribal groups, resulting in polar political division and hostility.

@DanShaffer1969 @athiestboi The more a country moves away from religion the more peaceful it will become overall secularism is a much better way of life that people just look at each other as humans, these countries have remnants of Christianity not the reason why they are peaceful, secularism is

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi Secularism doesn’t end tribalism—it just swaps the tribe. Atheism or secularism doesn’t erase prejudice or violence. People who abandon God still worship something: nation, race, politics, class, or science.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi A secular society enjoying peace while dissing Christianity is using the "moral capital" built by Christian heritage while cutting off the roots that produced it. W/o root (the belief in a divine lawgiver and sacred human value), the fruit (human rights/peace) eventually decays.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi Political historian Tom Holland (in his book Dominion) points out that modern Western secular values—universal human dignity, compassion for the weak, individual conscience, human rights—are direct products of Christian theology.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi "Remnants of Christianity" are actually the foundation, not decorative extras. Saying modern secular nations are peaceful despite Christianity ignores where modern human rights, universal education, healthcare networks, and individual liberties came from.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi When you remove accountability to a higher moral authority above the state, the state itself becomes the supreme authority, deciding who lives, who dies, and what is right or wrong.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi The resulting atrocities led to the deaths of tens of millions of people in a single century—far outpacing the casualties of historical religious conflicts combined.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi Totalitarian states (such as state-atheist regimes under Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot) explicitly sought to dismantle religion and replace it with state-centered or materialist worldviews.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi . The 20th century was the most secular—and deadliest—century in human history. The argument that moving away from religion creates a more peaceful society collapses when exposed to the history of totalizing secular ideologies:

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi If humans are simply high-functioning biological organisms in an accidental universe, there is no objective moral obligation to treat everyone equally.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi The idea that every individual human has inherent, equal, unalienable dignity isn't a self-evident biological fact; it is a historically distinct moral idea anchored in the Imago Dei—the belief that humans are made in the image of God.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi Historically, however, secular ideologies have often redefined what "human" means or decided that certain humans are less valuable than others.

@BashKiwalabye @athiestboi "Humanity" alone has historically proven to be an unstable moral foundation. The claim that secularism allows people to "just look at each other as humans" assumes that seeing someone as human naturally guarantees equal value and dignity.
