@calvinrobinson Hey. I want a mug.

Karađorđeva šnicla at Tri šešira 📍Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸 Taste Belgrade: tasteatlas.com/belgrade Established in 1864, Tri šešira (Three Hats) takes its name from an artisan hat workshop that previously occupied the building. For over a century, it has served as the epicenter of Belgrade’s bohemian district, Skadarlija, traditionally hosting renowned writers, poets, and artists in its rustic, cobblestone surroundings. While Karađorđeva šnicla is now a cornerstone of Serbian menus, it was originally an improvised adaptation of the famous Chicken Kiev. Lacking the necessary poultry and butter for a high-profile broadcast guest, the chef substituted veal and indigenous Balkan kajmak. Furthermore, the dish’s signature garnish—a lemon slice paired with tartar sauce—was intentionally designed to visually represent the Order of the Star of Karađorđe, an esteemed military medal, officially cementing its royal title and place in the national culinary canon.
