little bit funny that the falklands is genuinely one of only geopolitical situations where the uk is on the morally correct side (to the point where it feels like a made up hypothetical scenario) and yet argentina have made opposing it a key part of their national identity lol


@JohnWight1 Colonialism is the subjugation of a native population by a foreign power. If the native population of the Falkland Islands wish to remain British, then the colonial act would be Argentina taking control of the islands, particularly so if they took them by force.




@narindertweets The Falklands was uninhabited when we settled. Argentina didn’t exist for another 100 years. The rights of the indigenous population to decide their sovereignty is paramount & they decided to remain a British sovereign nation.
