I spent way too much time on this. Here is my Dream 18 from golf courses I played in 2024 (Can only use one hole from each course). Thought about the variety a lot here. Four par threes of different length, ranging from the beefy Biarritz at CGC and dramatic 7th at Streamsong Blue to two more delicate mid to short irons on the back. Great mix of drivable, medium length and long strategic par fours- with two drivable fours on the back (Riviera & Tree Farm), and a few of my favorite long par fours in America (6th at Creek, 5 at Streamsong Red, 4 at Quaker Ridge, 11 at Rustic Canyon). But the truly best par fours are what lies in between: incredibly fun & thought-provoking drive and pitch holes with 1 at GCGC, 8 at OB, & 16 at Nanea. The back-to-back par 5s on the back are two of my favorite three-shotters in America. 15 at VCM may be my favorite P5 green in the country, and 14 at Friars may be favorite green-site, tucked against the back-drop of a dune, with the best tee-to-tee walking bridge overlooking the Atlantic on the horizon. Truly a phenomenal match play course from start to finish, that one can comfortably play every day with minimal dramatic elevation changes that tips out to just a hair over 6,700 yards. Thank you for indulging me- clear proof I've spent way too much time in the cold & will combust if I don't get on a golf course soon.
