@HEYBIDEMI Be honest with yourself, that video was explanatory enough except you refuse to acknowledge it
English

I sat through Abike Shugaa’s video from start to finish—over an hour—and honestly, I’m still trying to understand the real message.
From the beginning to the end, it felt like a long defense rather than a clear explanation. Every point kept circling back to appreciation, loyalty, and respect, but the actual issue was never addressed directly. And that’s where the confusion comes in.
Because if everything is truly fine between you and Toyin Abraham, then why does it sound like you’re trying so hard to convince us? And if everything is not fine, then why not just say it plainly?
At some point, transparency matters more than trying to protect an image. Viewers are not confused because they don’t understand English—we’re confused because the message itself is unclear. You can’t speak for that long and still leave people guessing what really went wrong.
If the issue is payment, say it. If it’s misunderstanding, say it. If it’s loyalty or personal differences, say it. But this middle ground of “defending but not explaining” only raises more questions.
Respect and appreciation can still exist, but clarity is important. Because right now, it feels like there’s something being avoided, and that’s why the whole video is hard to wrap your head around.
At this point, all people are asking for is simple—be bold, be straightforward, and let the message match the time spent explaining it.

@ComradeAtt Watch the full video
She was paid 50k for ago alaago lead role!
English

How would she pay N50K for a lead role? Una dey think at all? N50K was for Two scenes in Ijakumo.
last born@olasebotifeg
Abike Shugaa explained what transpired between her and Toyin Abraham 3 years ago, Toyin Abraham no do well if this is actually what happened, 50,000 naira for a lead role in a movie when Funke Akindele is paying her $600-$800 for movie PR 😔💔
English

@AyeshaLiq Watch the video and see if you need to make this kind of comment
English

As much as I’m trying to understand that babe, I’m lost and confused.
IJAKUMO was in 2022 while MALIAKA was in 2023.
If u were paid 50k for 2 scenes in ijakumo and they removed your scenes and you were angry and all, why did you take the lead role in MALIAKA the next year?
Did they force you to take the initial 50k?
If u worth more than that, why didn’t u reject the job since you had brands paying u in dollars (according to you)?
Was that the reason you decided to pay back the following year by abandoning your duties as a lead and helping another person promote their movie?
In that video She refused to address the elephant in the room and was beating round the bush and refused to take accountability and acknowledge her own mess up.
🕯️ for TA to ignore. NO COMMENT ❌

So I got married last year to the man who sponsored my education. Have no kids yet though. Thanks to him, today I work as a government teacher in a secondary & high school. I actually just got recruited to this school where I teach Geography.
But please, I'm confused. There's this particular guy, actually a male colleague of mine. He has been working here as a Biology teacher for 6 years. Since I arrived & started work, he has been so nice to me, guiding & showing me around, buying me gifts too, and keeping me company so I don't feel alone since I'm new. We got so close after a month. I don't know, but I just really feel so comfortable & safe with him, even more than my husband. I love his company. If I'm to be honest, I feel like I can share & tell him everything.
Even my husband doesn't get me gifts like this guy does. He is such a kind & gentle man, i must comment, he truly knows how to treat a lady but something about his behavior, actually changed recently. Which leaves me confused. He switched from food gifts & started getting me underwear, bras, and perfumes. Even on 'Teachers Day' he bought me same gifts. This has actually been going on for about 2 weeks now. Please people, this keeps me wondering if it's okay that i keep collecting these gifts. Considering the fact that, I'm a married woman.
Truth is, we've been so close, and I don't know how to go about rejecting these gifts since he is actually doing it with pure intentions, with no strings attached, and he's been so nice to me ever since I got here. I plead for your advice & guidance 🙏

English

@odirah_cellz @kyeruphiona You are absolutely right
It's just a harsh and bitter TRUTH
English

The reality you're not seeing is that;
At month end, salaries would be paid
Rent, utilities and taxes have to be paid
Clients have to be satisfied
Company has to remain afloat to thrive.
None of these factors cares about your late colleague. His passing is sad, but life won't end because of that.
Sadly

A coworker died yesterday morning😭.
HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway.
This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve.
It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair.
But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life .
At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.

@Mide214 I can deal with all but I don't like ironing that much though
English

@Amelia558rs Why should either of you even bathe them at that age?
Unless they have a medical condition please, they are old enough to bathe themselves at that age
English

@Chimaforkeeps That’s why I always rule it as a mental disorder or demonic possession.

Two women get married.
One becomes the “husband”
The other becomes the “wife”
Now pause.
If you reject the man-woman structure, but then recreate it inside the relationship, what exactly changed?
One dresses masculine, leads, protects, proposes, plays the dominant role.
The other becomes softer, receptive, “the wife,” the one being led.
So the structure is still there.
Just different actors.
You removed the man… then assigned someone to play him.
You removed the woman… then assigned someone to perform her role.
That’s the contradiction.
If gender roles don’t matter, why recreate them?
If masculinity and femininity are irrelevant, why split into them?
If equality is the goal, why rebuild opposite poles?
You can’t say “there’s no man and woman here”
while running the relationship on man-and-woman dynamics.
Either the structure was the problem…
or it wasn’t.
But you can’t reject it and reproduce it at the same time.
