Minnesota @Timberwolves Status Report in advance of tomorrow night’s game vs. Portland Trail Blazers: QUESTIONABLE Reid- Right Ankle Sprain OUT Edwards- Right Knee Inflammation with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome Freeman- Two-Way Zikarsky- Two-Way

Just in: Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is expected to miss an extended period of time, sources tell ESPN.

Kyle Anderson has had more success since joining Minnesota's rotation when Rudy Gobert is OFF the floor than when Gobert is ON the floor with him. The minutes Anderson plays with Gobert leave 3 shooters playing around him, where the non-Rudy minutes feature Anderson playing while surrounded by shooting. The plan for the minutes Anderson has played with Gobert, so as to accommodate the lack of shooting, is to put the ball in Anderson's as the point guard -- a shift from when Anderson was here previously, where he would often be playing out of the corners. Asked Anderson about the minutes he's played with Gobert this season, and he attributed the lack of success in that pairing thus far to feeling out that point guard chemistry when running pick and roll with Gobert. "I think that can get better -- the spacing and me and him converting in pick and rolls. I think I've probably been looking for him a little too much. Just reading the game... We can get better at that. We will."

Here's Ayo Dosunmu talking about what he's reading in pick and roll coverage and why he's taking more midrange shots in Minnesota after those were prohibited in Chicago. "In Chicago, midrange shots was really prohibited. It was 3s and layups, no midrange shots unless it's the end of the shot clock. Here, we got Rudy, he's setting big screens. So if you can set up pick and roll, you come off Rudy, you open." Dosunmu took 4 "long" midrange shots in 45 games in Chicago this season before being traded to Minnesota. And he's taken 12 in 15 games for the Wolves. Dosunmu has also nearly doubled the frequency in which he's taking shots from floater range. Dosunmu took 86% of his shots in Chicago at the rim or from 3. In Minnesota, he's becoming a three-level scorer. And his eFG% has stayed almost exactly the same.
